Homemade Camera Strap!

Personalized Camera Strap!

So, I am picky when it comes to my accessories, therefore just about every accessory I have is black because I can never find anything that looks the way I want it to. Chances are you have the same problem, so here's how I fix it! Get creative! I made this camera strap out of an old fabric belt, a needle and thread and some ribbon. And here's how I did it!

2) Cut off the loops and the other
end of the belt
1) Get a fabric belt you love [but
probably never wear since it
doesn't match everything
 in your closet]
4) If your belt opens like this
you can put the ribbon in
between both sides, otherwise
you can just overlap the ribbon
onto the belt about a quarter of
an inch (make sure you put the
ribbon through the camera holes
before you sew the ribbon in!)
3) Get a piece of ribbon that matches
your belt and get a lighter to
melt the edges of the ribbon and
the belt (so that your edges
don't fray like crazy eventually)
5) Sew the corners of the belt
over if your belt is wider
than the ribbon you use (I used
clear thread so I didn't have to
worry about matching colors)
6) Finished product! The coolest
part is that you can make the
camera strap as long or short
as you please!
