I am now in the process of photographing children dressed in the attire of their aspiring careers. I've come to the realization that when I take photographs of children, they come out really well, so I've decided to run with it! I'm going to eventually create a print-on-demand book containing all the photographs, but for now, I've gotten a few shot and edited! If you have kids with big dreams, let me know what they want to be when they grow up so that I can add their dreams to the series! Thanks.

Catching Up!
There's been SO much going on lately, but I'm finally taking the time to update the blog! These are some of the projects that I've completed in the past few months at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Each project is preceded with a little explanation of the requirements I had. If you like what you're seeing, let me know!
Print Media 1: I actually had to drop this class since I am pregnant and can't be around all the chemicals in the studio, but this is what I was working on printing using Linoleum plates and ink.
Color Photography: These five photographs are from the project titled "Ugly Feelings." I decided to base these off some childhood memories of ugly feelings. I recreated scenes from my own memories and a few additional memories from others.
Drawing V: These are all collaged photographs that I manipulated using Adobe Photoshop. I was working toward showing different spaces in a new way by making either a very small space appear bigger or a very large space appear much smaller. My love for color and light drove these projects toward becoming more vibrant and expanded compositions.
Open Studio: I'm actually working on this one now. I'm doing a series of self-portraits based on the war I'm going through with my body and emotional state. Being pregnant has just elevated all my uncertainties and sense of being uncomfortable with myself. I haven't taken pictures of myself since before I was married in May 2013 and I want to investigate why I feel so uncomfortable taking pictures of myself and try to answer many more questions about who I am and how other people see me or what they expect me to be. (P.S. Viewer discretion is advised. The purpose of this work is to express my feelings towards my body and is no way intended to be used as pornographic material, however if you feel uncomfortable with seeing a nude pregnant torso, I advise you not to continue. Consider yourself warned and please do not be offended.)
